I am Silvia and, as far as I can remember, cats have been part of my life since I was born.

Growing up I always knew I wanted to be a vet, and I almost became one! In 2007 I sat the admission test to the faculty of Veterinary Medicine and I got in. I was ready to enroll, the paperwork was done, but then, after many sleepless nights, I decided I wanted to pursue my other passion instead, and I eventually enrolled into Physics. This was a great choice and I don't regret it: I earned a Ph.D. in Physics, I dived deep into this fascinating science and I worked as a physicist in a famous lab for some years. I even met my husband there!

But my dream of working with cats never died. After having two (human) babies, and after observing how well they got along with my other two (feline) babies, how happy they all are and how precious and enriching their relationship is, this made me think that I possibly have a talent in understanding cats and their relationship with humans. And so, after 15 years from my vet exam, I started a new, challenging educational journey, with the aim of becoming an expert, competent and science-driven cat behaviour consultant.

I started reading, studying, researching all about cat training and behaviour. I also provided cat sitting services for a long time, with the goal of gaining all the possible knowledge and experience, and being able to help as many cats and people as possible to have a happy, satisfying, rich and harmonious life.

I am a dedicated cat behaviour consultant and trainer, utilising positive reinforcement based techniques. I hold a certificate in Cat Behaviour Consulting from ATN (Akademie für angewandte Tierpsycho­logie und Tierverhaltens­training), a Diploma in Feline Behavior Science and Technology (Dip. FBST) from the Companion Animal Sciences Institute (CASI) and am also a Fear Free Certified Animal Trainer.

 

My approach prioritises the emotional and physical well-being of your feline friends, ensuring that behaviour counselling and training sessions are not only productive but also enjoyable and stress-free for your beloved pets. My mission is to enhance the bond between cats and their owners through empathetic, science-based training techniques that foster a harmonious living environment for all, and to keep cats out of the shelters and at their home, surrounded by their lovely families.
